Sau e Siva West Auckland teaches children and adults the foundations of Siva Samoa.
This year, our children’s show was inspired by the fāgogo (story) of how the tuiga came to be in Samoa and how, each village or family has their own twists and versions to the story. We look at a more mythical, fabulous and imagined tale of Penina, a girl from Samoa on a quest to find her measina (treasure) for a very special night.
Our adults show will be presenting their learnings from the year and will be accompanied by the Siva Afi group – Tahimana. For many of our adult students this has been their first introduction to Siva Samoa and the beginning of their journey in reconnecting with the culture and the movements that have always been apart of them.
One show is $15 per person, or for both at the discounted price of $20 per person.
